The physiotherapist is placed laterally to the participant and resists external rotation and separation of the arm, elbow flexion of 90°.

Anterior deltoid

The therapist is positioned before the participant and resists forward flexion and internal rotation of the arm.

Middle deltoid

The physiotherapist is placed laterally to the participant and resists separation of the arm to 90 degrees.

Pectoralis

The therapist is positioned before the participant and resists the approach and internal rotation.
