Relative difference in torques (expressed as percentage of pre-injury) between the 4 groups measured immediately and 24 h post-injury and analyzed with a two-way ANOVA. Values were expressed as mean ± SEM. Both AT shortened groups displayed deficits immediately (**P < 0.001) and 24 h post-injury (*P < 0.01) compared to all time points for the sham group. Deficits in the 0 mm group were evident only 24 h post-injury (+P < 0.05) compared to the sham group.
