The pressure-volume relationship in female floor-ball players at baseline and following maximal cardiopulmonary testing. The slope of left ventricular (LV) end-systolic pressure and volume (ESPVR) relationship illustrates the LV contractility and was measured using single-beat LV elastance (Ees). The arterial elastance (Ea) was measured as the ratio between the LV end-systolic pressure and the stroke volume (SV). The figure illustrates the alterations in Ees and Ea prior (solid lines) and following the exercise (dashed lines).
