MAV, Maximal aerobic velocity; EG100, 100% MAV training group (n = 10); EG110, 110% MAV training group (n = 10); TL, Training load; ATU, Arbitrary training units; Example: [2 × (8 × 30 s / 30 s) 100/50% MAV]; It means that the participant had to run two series with eight repetitions each 30 s composed of 30 s running at 100% of MAV and 30 s active recovery at 50% of MAV. The participant recovers passively 5 min between each series. Each session was repeated 3 times per week
